Does anyone understand where the NEC UX5000 fits into all this? It seems to be completely exluded from the whole Univerge 360 range - and it’s white. It looks like some old Philips clinger-on!?
Actually on close up (click the image) it’s a White/Cream SV8100 - with an NEC brand name and UX5000 badge on it. Is it some cut-down SV8100?
I’ve uploaded a series of NEC brochures on the three main new systems which make up the Univerge 360 portfolio.
For small business you have the Univerge SV8100 (replaces the IPK/Aspire)
For Small-Medium Enterprises you have the Univerge SV8300 (replaces the NEC NEAX 2000 IPS)
For Large Enterprises you have the Univerge SV8500 (replaces the SV7000, which replaced the NEAX 2400 IPX)
The manuals on offer are:
Close Up of the New Style XML-based Colour Touchscreen IP Desk Phones
Univerge SIP Terminal (wifi) MH250 (looks like a cellular flip-phone)
Univerge SV7000 / SV8500 Brochure and Specification Document
Univerge SV8000 Brochure (describing the entire range)
Univerge SV8300 Sales Brochure
Univerge SV8300 Specification and Data sheet

Incase you didn’t know what these new systems looked like:
Oh, and also we have a sister site - dedicated to the older systems - the NEC NEAX 2000 IPS (also known as the NEAX 7400), the IPX and the Zeacom Server.
Go find it at http://www.necpbx.co.uk
Welcome to this new site dedicated to the
Who am I? I’ve been an NEC PABX troubleshooter for around 8 years now - from the days of the ICS/IVS through the NEC 2000 IPS - always with a Zeacom server attached. I also have been known to support the NEAX 2400 IPX/IMX PBX - the monster. There are only around 5 of these in the UK, with only 3 to my knowledge in production use though.
I run my own, small support company - maintaining both voice systems, IT systems and we’re also involved in some lively web development. There was little out there for people to use to discuss these new platforms, so, we designed a little site of our own. Please show your support by registering and posting up a hello or a question. I have rallied the support of a few different NEC engineers from around the world, to take part in the discussion, and answering questions, so even if you don’t see anything in the forums, don’t be afraid to ask!
